Easter Picnic and Play
Where: Sandall Park, West Yorkshire
When: 27th March
This is perfect for children aged 0-4 with soft play and sensory stations, inflatables and garden games, calm play areas with books, and plenty of Easter-themed activities, there’s something to keep every toddler happy. Egg Venture

Step into a world of chocolate and travel through time to discover its history. As you explore immersive zones including the Cocoa Rainforest, Sweet Emporium, Artist’s Studio and Chocolatier’s Kitchen, children will learn the skills of a true Master Chocolatier and create their very own chocolate bar to take home. Each full-paying child receives a free bar of chocolate as part of the experience.
Easter Wonderland
Where: Mother Shiptons, North Yorkshire

As an award-winning attraction, this has been voted the Best Magical Experience in the York area. The enchanting woodland is transformed into a springtime Wonderland, with Easter scenes inspired by Alice in Wonderland. With photo opportunities at every turn, it’s the perfect excuse to dress up and capture some magical memories. Opening Hours are 9.30am-5.30pm with the last admission being 4pm.
Leeds Young Film Festival
Where: Leeds, West Yorkshire
When: 18th March-19th April
This film festival is an annual event designed for children and families, showcasing a range of family-friendly films, short screenings, and creative activities. Alongside the films, there are workshops, masterclasses, and hands-on sessions to help inspire young filmmakers. The festival also supports film education throughout by working with schools and community groups.
Humble Bee Farm Lambing Experience – Easter Holidays
Where: Humble Bee Farm, Scarborough
When: Sundays: 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th March 2026, 11am-12:30pm or 1- 2:30pm
Wednesdays: 18th, 25th March and 1st April 2026, 11-12:30pm.
During your visit to Humble Bee Farm, children can meet and feed a lamb, listen to a short talk about the flock, help count the lambs, and take part in a fun Q&A session. You’ll also get the chance to say hello to the sheepdogs and follow the Sheep Trail around the farm. Please note that pregnant women are advised not to enter the lambing area and dogs are not allowed.
Bolton Abbey Easter Trail
Where: Bolton Abbey, Skipton
When: 21st March-19th April
Start your adventure by picking up a free trail sheet from the Riverside car park kiosk on arrival. From there, follow the trail through Strid Wood, keeping an eye out for larger-than-life bunnies hidden among the trees. The route is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs, covering around one mile each way from the Cavendish Shop to the Strid and back. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
